The Panorama Hotel enjoys a perfect and absolute waterfront setting surrounded by almost 8 acres of natural lagoons and gardens. Looking out at the bay and marina, you can enjoy an amazing range of birdlife which includes pelicans, swans, egrets, herons, sea eagles, fairywrens and so many more.

Our Bistro offers an A La Carte Menu, with an emphasis on the finest Tasmanian meats, seafoods and wine. A La Carte breakfast is available along with fresh barista made coffee to be enjoyed in the bistro or out on the deck.
The walk-in wine cellar invites you to handpick a bottle to purchase from the wide range of Tasmanian, regional Australian and international wines to have with dinner or to take home as a reminder of your stay.
Lunch is available in the bistro and on the deck and bookings are advisable for dinner seating. We are also happy to accommodate your dogs on the outdoor deck area.

The Panorama Hotel is 100% non-smoking no vaping and pet free hotel. There is a designated smoking area on the deck, and dogs are allowed on the deck.
Telephones are available in each guest lounge.
If you have an emergency outside of reception hours, please call our night phone 0457719529. I the emergency is a life-threatening emergency please dial 000 for police ambulance or fire.
After hours night manager service from 9:00pm until 7-00am is available for Emergencies. For nonurgent call outs a $50 call out fee will apply. This includes but not limited to loss of your room key or forgetting your code to access the hotel.
Guest lounges are available for your relaxation between 8:00 am and 10.00pm. Please respect the comfort and well-being of others and keep noise to a respectful level.
For security reasons all in external doors are locked between 8:30pm and 9:00 pm. External doors cannot be unlocked with your room key and are never locked from the inside, so that you will always be able to get out of the building, particularly in emergency. However, if you exit the building outside of hours you will not be able to get back in. If you wish to re-enter the hotel you can only do so through the front door using your door entry code, which is provided to you at check in and via email and text message.
For the security of your personal items as safe is in your wardrobe.
The tap water is perfectly safe to drink however there is filtered Tasmanian mountain water provided in the guest lounge. Please feel free to refill your own bottle.
For your convenience tea and coffee making facilities are provided in your room should you require more tea of coffee sugar or milk please do not hesitate to see staff.
Panorama Hotel is a non-smoking property. We request that you do not smoke or vape in your room or on your balcony. Smoking is permitted on an assigned area of the deck. Please note a cleaning fee of $250 applies if your room requires additional cleaning including soft furniture items, carpets, and curtains due to the smell of cigarette smoke.
Please acquaint yourself with the information on fire procedures process on the back of your room door. If the unlikely event of a fire, please proceed to the nearest fire escape.
If the fire is outside your room shut the door place wet towels under it and wait for assistance.
Please note cooking is prohibited in all rooms and if a guest is found to have activated the fire alarm due to cooking you maybe deemed liable for the associated fire department call out fee of $2,500.
Checkout time is 10:00 am. Late check out arrangements can be made subject to availability and based on occupancy. Extra charges may apply. When departing please leave your key in the drop off box at reception
Lost property will be held for a period of one month. Any items that are not claimed in this time will be donated to charity. If you require forgotten property to be posted to you, postage costs will be charged using your provided credit card.
We remind guests that the Panorama Hotel has a strict no party policy. Registered guests are prohibited from allowing nonregistered guests from staying in their room. Any behaviour regarded to be disturbing the peace and quiet of other guests will result in eviction from the property. Should you have any disturbance issues from the neighbouring rooms please contact management immediately.
The Panorama Hotel is fully committed to green hotel policies and the implementation of measures to help protect and sustain the environment for future generations. We aim to be an increasingly efficient environmental hotel and as such have installed a 150-kilowatt solar system to the roof. As well as solar heating to the swimming pool. By working together, we can achieve our environmental goals.
Please turn off all heating / cooling in your room when you leave the room. We use low energy LED to save power however please ensure these are also turned off when you leave your room. Please reuse guest towels wherever possible to reduce water usage and discharge of suds into our environment.
You may store your luggage at Reception.
Our bar is open from 10-00am – 9.00pm.
In our guest lounges, there is a modest collection of books for your entertainment. This is a complimentary service; please remember to return all borrowed items.
Car parking is free of charge. The hotel will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any vehicle in the car park areas.
For a private meeting, weddings, or a special party, our function and conference rooms are available and can be accommodate up to 200 people depending on seating arrangement. Please let us know and our Function Coordinator will be happy to help you.
Cribs/Cots are available at additional cost, and it is $20.00 AUD. Please check with our front desk for the availability.
Children 12 years of age and under, can stay free in the same bedding as the parent(s).

The St Helens District Hospital and Community Centre is on 10 Annie St, St. Helens.
Voltage in the hotel is 240 volts.
An evacuation plan with directional signs and instruction is located on the back of your room door. Please familiarise yourselves with the emergency exit procedures. In the event of an emergency, we ask that you please follow staff instructions.
Each Room Attendant is responsible to maintain the guest room items daily. Should you decide to take any of the following items from your room, we will assume you approve a corresponding charge to your account. Thank You
You are welcome to leave your key at Reception when going out, however please remember that Reception closes at 8-00pm in summer and 6-00pm in winter months.
In the event of malfunction or fault in your room, please contact Reception.
For articles lost or found, please contact our front desk.
The hotel’s accommodation and facilities are for all guests. Please respect the comfort and wellbeing of others and keep noise at a decent level. Noise levels must be reduced by 10:00 PM or (earlier if requested by staff). We also kindly ask guests that Spa Baths are not used after 9.00 pm.
Should we receive complaints, and the guests fail to comply with staff, the hotel reserves the right to remove the offending guests.

For the convenience of all our guests, pets are welcome on the deck, however, are not permitted in the Hotel. Service/Assistance dogs are allowed provided you can provide us the approved government certificate. Please note companion dogs or emotional support dogs are not classified as Service/Assistance dogs and are not permitted in the hotel
The Bistro & Bar is open from Monday – Sunday, 7:00am – 9.00pm (last orders – 8.45pm). We serve an Ala carte menu. Come and dine with us at the bistro or on the deck. If it's a cold night, enjoy a drink in front of the fireplaces. We strongly recommend bookings for dinner to avoid disappointment.

Turn right when you leave the hotel car park and follow the road signs or approximately 18 kilometres. Alternatively at the left turn to the Bay of Fires and The Gardens, you can straight ahead to Binalong Bay – Voted The best beach in Australia.
We have some of the most amazing sand dunes in Australia (Perone) we also have some of the best fishing and boating in Australia and Saint Helens is recognised as the game fishing capital of Tasmania.
We have some of the best mountain bike tracks in Australia if not the world. We also have some of the best wineries in the country and the amazing East Coast drive. We have Binalong Bay which was recently awarded the best beach in Australia, and we have the Bay of fires highly visited for its red rocks.
Also we have some of the best surfing in the country as well as some of the most amazing waterfalls and rainforest. Tourist attractions include, golf, bike and walking trails, the serpentarium Pyngana Dairy and the Pub in the Paddock

No however there is a public gym in the foreshore park located approx. 500 metres away

Our oysters are purchased from lease 65 located approximately 8 kilometres from the hotel and delivered fresh to us daily
Walks around the Bay can be accessed from either the front of the hotel or off the deck at the back, directly through the council park
No, the main road through St Marys to Launceston is approximately 25 to 35 minutes faster than the Pyngana Road
