Learn MoreThe staff were amazing!! The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfy! The hotel was in walking distance to everything! The room was serviced everyday and the restaurant and bar were great! It was quiet and the views were incredible! I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to everyone !! - Virginia Allen, past guest
We stayed for 4 days and we are seasoned travellers. This hotel is visually exceptional and is well worth staying here. It would be amazing for weddings and conferences. We had a king room with water views. Food was very good (but could be raised to the next level with room service etc), staff service was exceptional, I also used the conference facilities for a zoom call…. Staff went out of their way to assist me as I am in a powered wheelchair and found this hotel extremely accessible. The hotel is under new management and rooms are being upgraded. When this is finished it will be a jewel in the north east!. We will stay again. - universalpuzzle - Tripadvisor
This week we spent three nights at your Hotel and were very impressed with the outstanding work the new owners are doing The staff were all so very friendly and helpful and it felt very homely. We know as you progress with all the alterations it will be a magnificent place for tourists as well as Tasmanians like us. We wish you every success and you will be rewarded for all the hard work in restoring Panorama Hotel to its former beauty. Thankyou for having us. - Allan and Annie Howard
We do not know when we have been at a venue where hospitality was taken as seriously as it was for the three days that we stayed with you. All areas of service, from check in to dinner and general organisation was so professionally done, that we wish five stars was sufficient for a rating (perhaps 10). Everyone we came in contact with, from you and your staff, to Mick and the front of house, anticipated our needs and served us with a smile. These were people enjoying their jobs. We cannot recommend Panorama highly enough. - Irene and Kevin - TasJazz Fest Weekend
The hotel was in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar facilities were very good and provided a lovely are to sit or dine. The room was clean and comfortable and there were nice areas to relax outside of your room. - Adrian
We were skeptical due to previous reviews, but these do not reflect the new owners. We had an excellent meal here whilst staying in St Helens. The spring roll starter, Beef Teriyaki and Prawn Linguine were absolutely superb, as were our choice of local wine and beer. We had a table at the window with fantastic views across the bay. Peter and his wife only took ownership at Christmas 2023, and they, and their staff, couldn’t have been more welcoming or friendly. Please give them a chance! - Trip Advisor User
The new owners are doing amazing things with this venue. The place looks wonderful and fresh and clean. We hosted a dinner for 17 people recently and were very well looked after. We arrived to find a beautifully set long table with white cloths flowers and tea lights. (totally unexpected). Previous staff have also returned which was great to see. Everyone enjoyed all of their meals which were well cooked and extremely generous in size. (Oysters Kilpatrick seemed to be favorite.) Excellent value for money. Well done to all the staff. I reckon we will all return on a regular basis. - Trip Advisor User
The front desk staff, V, is very friendly and helpful. She goes well above and beyond to ensure our stay is comfortable and enjoyable. At the time of visit, the place needed some upgrades but the new owner has started upgrading and will transform the place in the next six months or so. - Tripadvisor User
Nice quiet place to stay. Rooms are cleaned daily and facilities for guests use are excellent. Bistro has a great menu with well presented big meals. Wood fires burning in bar and guest lounges are a nice touch. Staff are friendly and nothing is a bother. Would stay again without hesitation. - Dion Morgan, past guest 2022
